Where is the piccolo?

am reminded of a story about a famous conductor, Sir Michael Costa. As he was conducting a rehearsal with hundreds of instruments and voices, the mighty chorus rang out with the thunder of the organ, the roll of drums, and the blare of horns.

IT DOES NOT MATTER

In the midst of all the din, one man who played the piccolo, far up in a corner, said to himself: "It does not matter what I do," and ceased to play.

WHERE IS THE PICCOLO?

Suddenly, the great conductor stopped, flung up his hands, and quieted the performers. "Where is the piccolo?" he cried. His sharp ear had missed it, and the whole piece had been spoiled.

GOD SEEKS YOUR PRAISE
What about you? You may be insignificant and hidden, yet God seeks your praise. He listens for it,
and all the music of the great universe is made richer and sweeter because you gave Him your best.

Thou art WORTHY, O LORD, to receive glory, and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (Rev. 4:11)

  1. Great story by Corrie ten Boom! It is amazing to me that the great God of the Universe, even notices us, let alone desires our praise. I don't think I can adequately comprehend how WORTHY He is of all praise!

  2. Prachtig verhaal.
Hoe onbetekenend we ook denken te zijn, God ziet ons.
Er valt zelfs niet één musje op aarde zonder Zijn wil.
Hij is het waard te prijzen en te eren.
