Reading Hebrews 2
I thought I knew this chapter.
I didn’t.
Reading it slowly, a shape emerged.
Downward…
into flesh and blood,
into suffering,
into being tested.
And the very same movement upward…
toward glory, toward rule, toward humanity brought to its purpose.
The Messiah goes first: archēgos. Not from a distance.Through the full human path.
He comes to deliver. To lead many children into glory.
Calling them brothers.
Not ashamed.
And it ends with this line:
Because He Himself suffered when He was tested,
He is able to help those who are being tested.
Hebrews 2 doesn’t say
that the Messiah understands how it feels.
It says that because He suffered,
He is able to help.
—
This Saturday morning, I look back.
41 years of faith.
So much quiet gold along the way.
Not just that He could help…
but that He did.
And He still is able to help.
